Mazkur maqolada Devid Almondning Uitbred va Karnegi mukofotlariga sazovor bo‘lgan “Skellig” romanida fantastik va real qatlamlarning o‘zaro uyg‘unlashuv poetikasi tahlil qilinadi. Asarda markaziy g‘ayritabiiy obraz — Skellig mavjudotining mohiyati, uning ontologik jihatdan ko‘pma’noli talqini, realistik voqelik bilan sehrli unsurlar o‘rtasidagi badiiy munosabat yoritiladi. Shuningdek, bolalar idrokining mo‘jizani anglash va talqin qilishdagi narrativ vositachilik vazifasi, romanning Uilyam Bleyk she’riyati hamda Angliyaning Shimoli-Sharqiy hududi madaniy an’analari bilan intertekstual bog‘liqligi ko‘rib chiqiladi. Maqolada Almondning sehrli realizm imkoniyatlaridan o‘lim, tug‘ilish, shifo, ichki o‘zgarish va ulg‘ayish kabi ekzistensial mavzularni badiiy ifodalash vositasi sifatida foydalanish xususiyatlari asoslab beriladi.
