Mustaqillikdan keyin Marokashda siyosiy-iqtisodiy inqiroz hamda jamiyat notinchligi vujudga keldi. Siyosiy boshqaruv markazlashmagan, iqtisodiyot to‘liq Fransiya qo‘lida, pul birligi frank bilan o‘lchangan, asosiy til fransuz tili, ta’lim rivojlanmaganligi kabi muammolar avj olgan edi. Tunis davlatida ham Marokash kabi aholi sonining tezlik bilan ko‘payishi, sanoat – ishlab chiqarish rivojlanmaganligi, iqtisodiy daraja past ammo ishsizlik miqdori yuqoriligi kabi muammolar bo‘lib, shu sabab migratsiya muhim deb hisoblandi. XX asrning 60-70-yillarida asosan ishga layoqatli yosh yigitlar Fransiya, Germaniya va Belgiya davlatlariga ishlab chiqarish, qurilish, konchilik kabi sohalarda ishlash uchun borishgan.
