Mazkur maqolada hazil-mutoyiba konseptining kognitiv modeli va uning G‘afur G‘ulomning “Shum bola” asarining ingliz hamda rus tillaridagi tarjimalarida transformatsiyalanish xususiyatlari tahlil qilinadi. Tadqiqotda freym-semantik tahlil, konseptual metafora nazariyasi va qiyosiy tarjimashunoslik metodlari qo‘llanilgan. Natijalar shuni ko‘rsatadiki, hazil-mutoyiba konsepti murakkab kognitiv tuzilmaga ega bo‘lib, uning tarjimada saqlanish darajasi tillarning tipologik yaqinligiga bog‘liq. Rus tiliga qilingan tarjimada konseptning asosiy komponentlari ko‘proq saqlanishi aniqlangan.
