THE CONCEPT OF METHODOLOGICAL COMPETENCE AND ITS PEDAGOGICAL ESSENCE

This article provides a theoretical analysis of the content and essence of methodological competence, its role as a pedagogical category, and its significance in the professional training of future teachers. The structural components of methodological competence are examined, including knowledge, skills, abilities, methodological thinking, reflective approach, and aspects related to the effective organization of pedagogical activity. The article interprets methodological competence as an integrative quality that reflects a teacher’s readiness to scientifically plan the educational process, select instructional materials, apply modern pedagogical technologies, and assess learning outcomes. The study employed competency-based approach, systemic analysis, comparative pedagogical approach, and theoretical generalization methods. As a result, it is substantiated that the pedagogical essence of methodological competence is directly related to a teacher’s professional stability, innovative activity, and the quality of education.
