HISTORY OF KHOREZM PRESS

Abstract

This article covers the stages of formation, emergence and development of the Khorezm Jadid press. First, the socio-historical foundations of its emergence are studied. This is based on the information in the historical work “Shajarayi Khorezmshahi” and press texts by the great son of the Khorezm people, poet, historian, statesman Muhammad Yusuf Bayani. The last - XV chapter of “Shajarayi Khorezmshahi” reflects the socio-historical life of the second half of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, the Russian autocracy, the people's experiences, the outbursts of the soul, the enthusiasm and self-sacrifice of the intelligentsia associated with the emergence of the need for freedom and independence. These images introduce us to the Khorezm Jadidism and the historical realities that led to its formation. It provides information about the active participants of the process, enthusiastic leaders and organizers. For this reason, when creating the research, we drew conclusions based on this work and contemporary press sources.
