ON SELECTING AND TEACHING LINGUISTIC MATERIAL FOR PROFESSIONAL SPEECH OF SPECIALISTS

This article comprehensively examines the issues of selecting linguistic material for professional speech and methods of teaching it, as well as speech etiquette and communicative qualities of speech, which are an integral part of human communication. It also highlights such qualities of speech as correctness, accuracy, logic, purity, brevity, and appropriateness. Information is provided on the general norms that must be followed to ensure correctness of speech, as well as on word stress and grammatical norms. Communicative qualities determine the clarity, expressiveness, and compliance of speech with literary language norms, ensuring the accurate and complete transmission of information; additionally, issues of cultured speech and adaptability are discussed in detail.
