PRECEDENT PHENOMENA AND INTERTEXTUAL MEMORY IN FANTASY DISCOURSE: THE TRANSFORMATION OF MYTHOLOGICAL ONYMS AND ALLUSIONYMS IN AUTHORIAL IDIOSTYLES

The article investigates mechanisms of transformation of precedent phenomena, particularly mythological onyms, in contemporary fantasy discourse. Based on works by Dmitry Yemets and other authors, it analyzes semantic contamination, reinterpretation, and hybridization of names entrenched in cultural memory. Allusionyms and other forms of intertextuality are examined as key strategies for shaping an author’s idiostyle, serving the purposes of parody, irony, cultural adaptation, and the construction of a new mythopoetic reality. The study concludes that intertextual memory and the creative transformation of precedent units constitute an integral feature of fantasy as a genre, enabling a dialogue of cultures and the renewal of literary traditions.
