THE RECOGNITION OF “EVERYDAY DISCOURSE” AS AN INDEPENDENT OBJECT OF LINGUISTIC STUDY

This article analyzes the place of everyday discourse in linguistics, its communicative and pragmatic features, and its formation as an independent object of research. The structural and functional characteristics of everyday speech, its linguistic units, strategies, and tactics are examined. The study of everyday discourse as a distinct direction within modern discourse theory is presented on a scientific basis.
