This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the structural and semantic features of compound sentences in the English language. The study examines the grammatical structure of compound, complex, and compound–complex sentences, focusing on the relationships between their predicative units and the semantic relations they convey. Particular attention is paid to causal, temporal, conditional, concessive, and explanatory meanings expressed through complex syntactic constructions. The findings contribute to a deeper understanding of English syntax and may be effectively applied in translation studies and English language teaching methodology.
