DOCUMENTARY PROSE AS A TYPE OF VERBAL ART: TERMINOLOGY, BOUNDARIES, AND POETIC FEATURES

The article examines the main theoretical approaches to the concept of documentary prose in contemporary literary studies. Special attention is paid to terminological issues, the relationship between fiction and fact, and the identification of key poetic features of documentary prose. Documentary prose is interpreted as a specific type of verbal art based on the artistic interpretation of fact and testimony.
