The article examines the image of the father and models of male upbringing in Russian and Uzbek cultural traditions from a comparative perspective. The study is based on the analysis of literary works, folklore sources, and cultural-historical representations. It identifies common axiological foundations of fatherhood as well as nationally specific features in the representation of the male educational paradigm. The findings suggest that in both cultures the father functions as a bearer of moral authority and cultural continuity; however, the character of emotional representation and the type of educational model are culturally conditioned.
