Abstract

This article analyzes the Soviet collectivization policy implemented in Karakalpakstan during the 1920s–1930s and its socio-economic consequences. The study examines the historical prerequisites of collectivization, the mechanisms of its implementation, and its impact on the traditional lifestyle of the local population. Particular attention is given to the process of forced collectivization of agriculture, confiscation of private property, economic difficulties, migration processes, and the transformation of traditional economic systems. Based on historical sources and scientific literature, the article highlights the influence of collectivization on the social structure of society, economic development, and demographic changes in the region. The research findings contribute to a deeper understanding of the historical processes of the period and reveal the regional characteristics of Soviet agrarian policy.
