SEMANTIC CLASSIFICATION OF THE PHATIC SPEECH ACT OF GREETING

The article examines the greeting type of phatic speech acts and discusses the issue of their classification according to semantic characteristics. It also considers the three main elements of the greeting speech act and their role in the process of communication. The study analyzes the communicative situation, the relationship between interlocutors, and the pragmatic aspects of greetings.
