THE EVOLUTION OF THE THEME OF HEROISM IN LITERARY WORKS OF THE ANCIENT PERIOD AND THE RENAISSANCE

From the earliest written sources to modern prose and poetry, the theme of war has always attracted writers. While in the Middle Ages war was covered in religious terms, from the Renaissance onwards concepts such as human experiences, spiritual trials, and patriotism began to be more prominent. This article presents an analysis of the depiction of war in fiction, heroic deeds in human history, and the author's ability to express his or her purpose and idea through these means. The war events in human history in antiquity and the Renaissance and the author's ability to depict them are analyzed.
