This article examines the problem of stylistic unity and fragmentation in postmodern prose through the example of Uzbek and English literature. The study analyzes such features of postmodern texts as plot disruption, compositional discontinuity, intertextuality, polyphony, and stylistic play, as well as their influence on the artistic integrity of the work. Special attention is paid to the idea that fragmentation appears not only as a formal device but also as an aesthetic principle of postmodern thinking. The article identifies both common and distinctive features of postmodern prose in Uzbek and English literature and evaluates the poetic means that ensure stylistic unity within the text.
