Abstract

This article presents considerations on the theoretical essence, structural features, socio-functional tasks and linguo-cultural significance of the concept of natural language. The study highlights the main features of natural language such as historicity, sociality, systematicity, variability and dynamism, and scientifically substantiates its inextricable connection with human thinking and conceptual perception processes. It also discusses the processing of natural language, the process of literaryization and its similarities and differences with artificial languages. The article shows the possibilities of solving historical-comparative, sociolinguistic, cognitive and linguo-cultural problems through the study of natural languages. In particular, the close connection of language with the way of thinking, national mentality and cultural memory of its speakers is revealed on the basis of a linguo-cultural approach. The results of the study show that natural language is not only a means of communication, but also a carrier of national-cultural code, social experience, and is an important resource for future artificial intelligence and natural language processing technologies.
