The article analyzes the evolution of land and water relations in the Chortoq, Uychi, and Uchqo‘rg‘on districts of Namangan region during 1930–1970. It examines the transition from traditional water distribution systems to the Soviet administrative-command system, the nationalization of water resources, and the expansion of irrigation networks. The study highlights the impact of large-scale irrigation projects, manual labor, and technological modernization processes on the ecological and social landscape of the region, particularly consequences such as soil salinization and water pollution.
