METHODOLOGY FOR DEVELOPING STUDENTS’ CREATIVE COMPETENCE IN CHEMISTRY BASED ON PISA AND TIMSS TASKS

Abstract

This article examines the methodology for developing students’ creative competence in chemistry based on PISA and TIMSS-oriented tasks. The study emphasizes the role of international assessment frameworks in fostering creative thinking, problem-solving, and the application of chemical knowledge in real-life contexts. A pedagogical experiment was conducted using diagnostic, formative, and summative stages. The findings indicate that systematic integration of PISA and TIMSS tasks into chemistry instruction significantly improves students’ creative competence. The study highlights the methodological value of adapting international assessment approaches to national chemistry curricula.
