Abstract

This article examines the concept of a developmental environment and its role in the process of a child’s social adaptation. The main components of a developmental environment are analyzed as a system of psychological, pedagogical, social, and material factors influencing a child’s personal development. Special attention is given to the importance of such an environment in developing communication skills, social behavior, independent thinking, and emotional stability. The study is based on systemic, competency-based, and learner-centered approaches. The results indicate that a properly organized developmental environment is one of the key pedagogical conditions for a child’s successful integration into society.
