THE ROLE OF THE ART OF ALLUSION (TALMEH) IN THE WORKS OF ALISHER NAVOI

Abstract

This article explores the role of the talmeh (allusion) device in the literary works of the classic Uzbek poet Alisher Navoi and its artistic-aesthetic functions. The research analyzes talmehs used in the poet’s ghazals, small lyrical genres, tarkibband, tarji’band, and musammat, highlighting their significance in deepening the ideological content of his poetry. The article is written based on comparative-historical analysis, textology, functional analysis, and hermeneutic interpretation methods. The main goal of the research is to elucidate the mechanisms by which the talmeh device is used to amplify the emotional state of Navoi’s lyrical hero and to substantiate didactic ideas. The results of the study scientifically prove that in Navoi's work, talmeh is not merely an ornament, but a universal tool for expressing ideological and philosophical content in a concise and impactful manner.
