IMPROVING MECHANISMS FOR ENHANCING STUDENTS’ CONCEPTUAL THINKING: PRACTICES AND METHODOLOGICAL SOLUTIONS IN HIGHER EDUCATION

This article examines the improvement of mechanisms for developing students’ conceptual thinking in higher education. The pedagogical nature of conceptual thinking is clarified, and its formation is substantiated through cognitive, metacognitive, didactic, and communicative mechanisms. The study highlights the effectiveness of methodological solutions such as concept mapping, problem-based learning, case study analysis, reflective learning, and interdisciplinary integration in university practice. The findings indicate that these approaches enhance students’ systematic knowledge acquisition, understanding of conceptual relationships, and the transfer of theoretical knowledge to real-life academic and professional contexts.
