Abstract

This article analyzes the theoretical foundations, pedagogical approaches, and practical mechanisms for developing students' social activity in the educational process. The concept of a socially active personality is considered an important factor in fostering students' ability for independent thinking, civic responsibility, social initiative, and active participation in society. The article highlights the role of modern educational technologies, project-based learning, volunteering, teamwork, and service learning methods in developing students’ social competencies. Furthermore, the study examines state policies, regulatory frameworks, and practical experiences aimed at enhancing students’ social activity within Uzbekistan's higher education system, and provides scientifically grounded recommendations for further development in this field.
