Abstract

This article examines the lexico-semantic and functional characteristics of artificial intelligence (AI) terminology in English and Uzbek by drawing on corpus-based evidence. The study analyzes how AI-related terms evolve, shift in meaning, and adapt across languages within rapidly developing technological discourse. Special attention is given to morphological patterns, semantic extension, metaphorization, and functional usage in academic, media, and professional corpora. The comparative approach reveals both universal tendencies and language-specific features in the development of AI terminology. The findings contribute to a deeper understanding of cross-linguistic terminology formation, modern linguistic modeling, and digital corpus analysis in the context of AI-driven communication.
