Abstract

This article provides a theoretical analysis of the pedagogical essence of methodological competence and reveals its structural components. Methodological competence is interpreted as an integrative quality of a teacher’s personality that ensures the effectiveness of professional activity, conscious selection of educational content, and purposeful design of the teaching process. The motivational, cognitive, operational, and reflective components of methodological competence are identified, and their interconnection is substantiated. The findings of the study can serve as a theoretical basis for research aimed at improving the methodological training of future teachers.
