Abstract

The article examines the study of the ethnography of the Bukhara Emirate by Russian researchers in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. It analyzes the scholarly legacy of Russian scientists, travelers, and military-administrative officials, focusing on their ethnographic observations and collected materials. Special attention is given to descriptions of the ethnic composition of the population, customs, traditional lifestyle, economic activities, and social relations within the Bukhara Emirate. The historical and ethnographic significance of these sources and their relevance to contemporary research are also substantiated.
