Abstract

The article analyzes the problem of literary tradition and continuity in twentieth-century Karakalpak poetry. It examines the processes of preservation and transformation of folkloric, classical Eastern, and pan-Turkic poetic traditions in new socio-historical conditions. Based on historical-literary and comparative-typological analysis, patterns of continuity at thematic, genre, and stylistic levels are identified. The study aims at a systematic understanding of the development of national poetic thought.
