PHRASEOLOGICAL UNITS RELATED TO FOLK CUSTOMS AND TRADITIONS

This scientific article analyzes the linguocultural characteristics of phrasemes that are directly related to the customs, traditions and national values of the people. The study sheds light on the scientific basis on the inextricable link between phrasemes and the way of life of the people, social relations, rituals, moral norms and historical experience. Phrases widely used in folk oral creativity and artistic speech are considered as important language units that reflect national thinking, worldview and cultural memory. The article analyzes the semantic structure, imagery and their communicative functions of phrasemes related to customs and traditions, reveals the role of phraseological units in expressing national and cultural content. It also discusses the preservation of such phrasemes in the process of modern language development, their acquisition of new meanings and their functional capabilities in speech practice. The results of the study scientifically substantiate the need to ensure the harmony of language and culture in the study of phraseological units and provide conclusions of theoretical and practical importance for research in the field of phraseology.
