STRUCTURAL-SEMANTIC ANALYSIS OF THE TRANSLATION OF LEXICAL AND PHRASEOLOGICAL UNITS USED IN ABDULLA QODIRIY’S NOVEL BYGONE DAYS

This article discusses the issue of considering the structural, semantic and methodological aspects of some lexical units used in the novel “Bygone Days” by Abdulla Kadiri when translating them into English, and discusses what tools should be used to achieve equivalence in the translation of lexical and phraseological units. In order to shed light on the problem, some lexical units used in the work were selected, their English translation options were compared, and the level of equivalence was determined. Based on the scientific and theoretical generalizations of translation studies and the practical results obtained in the field, recommendations are given on what methods should be used in the English translations of units in the lexical novel that are structurally and methodologically characterized as a result of the author’s unique artistic skill.
