MOTIFS OF THE OTHERWORLD

This article analyzes the motifs of the “otherworld,” transformation, and disappearance in Uzbek folk legends. These motifs are closely related to ancient human worldviews, religious and mythological concepts, and spiritual quests. The study examines narrative and artistic devices, as well as the symbolic meaning of toponymic legends. Written from the perspective of folklore, anthropology, and ethnology, the article contributes to understanding the worldview and spiritual heritage of the Uzbek people.
