INTERPRETATION OF THE IMAGE OF RELIGIOUS SCHOLARS IN THE HISTORICAL NOVEL (ON THE EXAMPLE OF THE NOVEL “IMAM MATURIDI”)

This article examines the artistic interpretations of the image of religious scholars and sheikhs-saints in Uzbek historical novels, including the artistic depiction of the image of Imam Moturidiy, using the example of Luqman Borikhon's historical-biographical novel "Imam Moturidiy". In this article, the writer's skill in creating a historical image, the artistic expression of religious and ideological struggles in the ancient Samarkand land where the scholar lived, are analyzed in the context of historical processes related to the main character.
