STRUCTURAL FEATURES OF SYNONYMS IN MODERN KOREAN

This article analyzes the lexical-semantic characteristics of synonyms in modern Korean through a structural approach. The study examines synonymic relations formed on the basis of the historical development of the Korean lexicon, particularly the interaction between native words, Sino-Korean words, and Western loanwords. Special attention is paid to the manifestation of synonyms in two-structure and three-structure patterns, their semantic differentiation, contextual dependency, as well as distinctions based on degrees and evaluative semantic features. The research findings contribute to a deeper understanding of Korean lexical semantics and the system of synonymy.
