THE ROLE OF THE TASHKENT OASIS IN THE TRADE AND CULTURAL RELATIONS OF THE SILK ROAD DURING THE EARLY AND DEVELOPED MIDDLE AGES

This article examines the role of the Tashkent oasis in the trade and cultural relations of the Silk Road during the early and developed Middle Ages. The study analyzes the geographical position of the region, the importance of historical cities such as Shash and Binkat as centers of trade and craftsmanship, and their contribution to the development of interregional economic and cultural relations. Particular attention is paid to the trade routes that passed through the Tashkent oasis and their influence on economic cooperation between the East and the West. The results show that the region played a significant role in the system of international contacts in medieval Central Asia.
