LINGUO-PRAGMATIC REPRESENTATION OF GENDER IDENTITY IN THE BIRTHDAY CONGRATULATORY DISCOURSE OF UZBEK MALES

This article analyzes the linguistic and pragmatic aspects of Uzbek men's birthday greetings. It explores how gender images are encoded through lexical and syntactic tools based on the addressee's status. Findings reveal that these speeches reflect cultural stereotypes and social hierarchies, justifying their role in constructing and reinforcing gender identity.
