PRAGMATIC AND COGNITIVE FEATURES OF PROVERBS IN MODERN LINGUISTICS

This article analyzes the pragmatic and cognitive features of proverbs from the point of view of modern linguistics. The study highlights the role of proverbs as linguistic units expressing the thinking, national worldview, and life experience of the people. As a result, proverbs are interpreted not only as an important example of oral folk art, but also as an important linguistic unit representing the cognitive and pragmatic mechanisms of human thinking and speech activity.
