THE ACTIVITIES OF POLICE DEPARTMENTS IN CRIME PREVENTION, MIGRATION, AND CITIZENSHIP AFFAIRS DURING THE YEARS OF INDEPENDENCE

This article provides information on the changes that occurred within the internal affairs bodies of our country during the post-independence years, specifically the development of core principles for the duties of personnel operating in this system. It emphasizes the necessity for law enforcement officers to possess psychological knowledge in performing crime prevention tasks and the vital importance of ensuring the rule of law in their professional activities. Furthermore, the article covers the regulation and monitoring of civil status, oversight of citizens' departure to and arrival from foreign countries, and the goals and objectives of law enforcement. It highlights the significance and role of legislative acts coordinating their activities, underscoring that the high legal literacy of personnel is a top priority.
