Abstract

This article examines the formation and development of ancient trade and communication routes in the territory of Uzbekistan. Since ancient times, Central Asia has been an important geographical region connecting the civilizations of the East and West, where trade, economic, and cultural interactions between different peoples took place. The study analyzes the geographical, economic, and political factors that influenced the formation of ancient trade routes, as well as the role of the Silk Road in their development. Special attention is given to the cultural exchange, development of crafts, science, and economic relations facilitated by these trade routes. The research findings highlight the strategic significance of Uzbekistan’s territory in the system of ancient trade routes and their contribution to the development of regional civilizations.
