THE THEORETICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL FOUNDATIONS FOR DEVELOPING STUDENTS’ INFORMATION PROCESSING COMPETENCE

This article analyzes the theoretical and methodological foundations for developing students’ information processing competence. In the context of an information society, it is essential to develop students’ skills in searching, analyzing, selecting, and effectively using information within the educational process. The article discusses the pedagogical conditions, methods for developing information competence based on a competency-based approach, and the possibilities of using information and communication technologies in education.
