Ushbu maqola XX-XXI asr Amerika gotik asarlarining poetik xususiyatlarini tizimli ravishda tahlil qilishga bag‘ishlangan. Tadqiqotda qiyosiy-tipologik, germenevtik va xronotopik tahlil metodlaridan foydalanilgan holda, Edgar Allan Poe, H.P. Lovecraft, Shirley Jackson, Flannery O‘Connor, Toni Morrison, Cormac McCarthy, Stephen King va Carmen Maria Machado kabi yozuvchilarning asarlaridagi badiiy vositalar tizimi o‘rganilgan. Maqolada Amerika gotikasining Yevropa an’anasidan tubdan farq qiluvchi milliy xususiyatlari irqiy travma, janubiy gotik grotesk, psixologik dahshat va feminist gotika ochib berilgan.
