Abstract

This study focuses on the formation and development of critical thinking skills in primary school students. The relevance of the research lies in the need to develop competencies such as independent thinking, problem analysis, and decision-making in various situations within modern education systems. The paper analyzes the essence of critical thinking, its main components, and its role in primary education from a scientific and theoretical perspective. The findings indicate that students develop skills of independent thinking, drawing evidence-based conclusions, expressing their own opinions freely, and critically evaluating the opinions of others.
