A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF STRUCTURAL-SEMANTIC TYPES OF PROVERBS AND SAYINGS REPRESENTING THE CONCEPT “CHILD/FARZAND” IN ENGLISH AND UZBEK LANGUAGES

This article provides a comparative analysis of the structural and semantic realization of the concept “farzand/child” based on proverbs and sayings in the Uzbek and English languages. The study identifies the structural types of paremiological units as well as the main semantic models representing the given concept. The obtained results contribute to revealing similarities and differences in the national mentality and cultural values of the two peoples.
