CONCEPTUAL ANALYSIS OF THE CONCEPT “DESTINY” IN ENGLISH AND UZBEK LANGUAGES.

Abstract

Describing the essence of concepts active in the study of the linguistic picture of the world and their realization in language, identifying linguistic and non-linguistic factors that are the basis for its formation and verbalization in thinking is considered relevant. In Uzbek linguistics, the scientific and practical study of universal and unique concepts in the linguistic and conceptual landscape of the world is also consistently studied. However, there are no studies devoted to the conceptualization of the concept of “destiny” on the example of English and Uzbek language units, illuminating its linguocognitive and linguocultural aspects through comparative analysis. Firstly, the linguocognitive approach defines the concept, consisting of the components of image, concept, and value (value), as the basic unit of culture. Secondly, the linguocultural approach is based on the idea of the accumulative function of language, that is, the function of embodying the experience and worldview of the people and transmitting it from generation to generation. The research has demonstrated that the richer a people's material and spiritual culture, the more abundant their conceptosphere becomes. The findings obtained contribute to further enriching potential knowledge about foreign languages and cultures.
