TEACHING FUTURE NATIVE LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE TEACHERS TO DEVELOP LISTENING COMPREHENSION SKILLS AS A PEDAGOGICAL PROBLEM

This article examines the issue of teaching future native language and literature teachers to develop listening comprehension skills as a significant pedagogical problem. The study substantiates the role of listening comprehension skills in professional pedagogical activity, emphasizing their importance in enhancing teachers’ speech culture, communicative competence, and effective organization of the educational process. The article also analyzes factors hindering the development of listening comprehension skills, existing problems in educational practice, and possible ways to overcome them. Furthermore, the pedagogical conditions, methodological approaches, and effective teaching methods for developing listening comprehension skills among future teachers are discussed. The study provides a scientific and theoretical justification that the development of listening comprehension skills is an essential component of a teacher’s professional competence.
