THE ROLE AND IMPORTANCE OF ONLINE EDUCATION IN DEVELOPING TOLERANCE COMPETENCE

The article examines the role and pedagogical potential of online learning in developing tolerance competence. Online learning is interpreted not only as a knowledge delivery system but also as a socio-pedagogical environment that brings together learners with diverse cultural backgrounds, worldviews, and social experiences within a shared communicative space. The study substantiates that online tools such as forums, video conferences, collaborative digital projects, social platforms, and interactive resources naturally foster empathy, respect, acceptance of diversity, and intercultural dialogue as key components of tolerance. The paper highlights the pedagogical mechanisms, didactic conditions, and practical formats for developing tolerance competence in online education settings.
