This research focuses on the semantic invariants of chemical terminology in English and Uzbek, with a comparative analysis of structural, semantic, and functional aspects. The study identifies universal semantic features that remain constant across both languages and examines the challenges of translating chemical terms due to cultural, linguistic, and cognitive differences. The findings reveal that the majority of English and Uzbek chemical terminologies share semantic invariants rooted in international scientific discourse, although differences arise in affixation, borrowing, and adaptation processes. The article also highlights the pedagogical and practical implications of comparative terminology studies for translators, linguists, and educators.
