CONTEXT AND DISCOURSE AS FACTORS IN THE INTERPRETATION OF PHRASEOLOGICAL MEANING

The article analyzes the role of context and discourse in the interpretation of the meaning of phraseological units in the Russian and Uzbek languages. The aim of the study is to identify the mechanisms of discursive activation and pragmatic interpretation of phraseological units. The research is based on cognitive-pragmatic, discursive, and comparative methods. The scientific novelty of the study lies in identifying universal and nationally specific features in the discursive interpretation of phraseological units. It is substantiated that context and discourse are the main factors in the formation of phraseological meaning.
