SELECTION AND SYSTEMATIZATION OF THE CONTENT OF THE NATIVE LANGUAGE IN HIGHER EDUCATION

This article provides a scientific and methodological analysis of the issues related to selecting and systematizing the content of the native language course in higher education institutions. It substantiates the need to base the determination of the content on a competency-based approach, students’ professional needs, and the achievements of modern linguistics. Furthermore, the importance of the principles of continuity, consistency, and practical orientation in content systematization is highlighted.
