THE EFFECTIVENESS OF MOBILE APPLICATIONS IN TEACHING RUSSIAN AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE: DIDACTIC POTENTIAL AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

This article examines the effectiveness of mobile applications in teaching Russian as a Foreign Language (RFL) through the lens of contemporary didactics and the digital transformation of education. It discusses key affordances of mobile learning tools—microlearning, interactive practice, personalization, speech training, and instant feedback—and analyzes their contribution to vocabulary growth, grammar acquisition, listening comprehension, and speaking skills. Particular attention is paid to learner motivation, autonomy, and the integration of mobile applications into blended learning models. The paper outlines pedagogical conditions for successful implementation, including methodological alignment with course objectives, level-appropriate content, systematic practice, integration with communicative tasks, and assessment procedures. The article concludes that mobile applications can significantly increase the intensity of language exposure and improve learning outcomes when embedded in a well-designed instructional framework.
