LINGUOCULTURAL INTERPRETATION OF THE CONCEPT OF “SPIRITUALITY” IN RUSSIAN AND UZBEK LANGUAGES

This article presents a comparative linguocultural analysis of the concept of “spirituality” in Russian and Uzbek languages. The study examines the lexical-semantic field of the concept, its metaphorical representations, and its reflection in paremiological units. In the Uzbek language, the concept of “ma’naviyat” is closely associated with national values, moral purity, spiritual maturity, and social responsibility, whereas in Russian the concept of “duhovnost’” is predominantly manifested in religious, philosophical, and moral dimensions. The findings demonstrate that the concept reflects cultural codes, historical experience, and national mentality in both linguistic systems. The linguocultural approach makes it possible to identify both common and distinctive features of the concept within the compared languages.
