TYPOLOGICAL DIFFERENCES OF VERB TRANSPOSITION IN UZBEK AND CHINESE LANGUAGES

Abstract

This article examines the typological characteristics of verb transposition in Uzbek and Chinese based on a comparative analytical approach. The study analyzes theoretical interpretations of the concept of transposition in Western and Russian linguistics and evaluates the applicability of these approaches to languages with different typological structures. In particular, it is demonstrated that the models of morphological transposition and affixation typical of Indo-European languages cannot be equally applied to agglutinative and isolating languages. The study concludes that verb transposition in Uzbek and Chinese is realized through different typological mechanisms: in Uzbek it mainly has a morphological character, whereas in Chinese it is primarily manifested at the syntactic-functional level. The results of the research are of significant theoretical importance for comparative linguistics, grammatical typology, translation studies, and the methodology of teaching Chinese and Uzbek languages.
