COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF THE PARIS AND KASTAMONU COPIES THE WORK “BULGHAT AL-MUSHTAQ”

This article is devoted to a comparative study of the Paris and Kastamonu manuscript copies of the fourteenth-century work “Kitabu Bulg‘atil mushtaq fi lug‘at at-turk val qifchaq” written by Jamal al-Din al-Turki. The research analyzes the page structure, writing characteristics, the composition of chapters and sections, as well as the lexical material of both manuscripts. The comparative analysis revealed that some chapters and sections absent in the Paris manuscript have been preserved in the Kastamonu copy, while certain parts found in the Paris manuscript are missing in the Kastamonu version. By examining the materials of both manuscripts together, it was possible to reconstruct the overall structure of the work more accurately and determine that the manuscript consists of eight major chapters and sixty-two sections.These findings provide a more comprehensive understanding of the structural organization of the manuscript and serve as an important source for studying its lexical content. The research is of significant scholarly value for the study of the historical lexicology of Turkic languages and the linguistic material of the Kipchak Turkic language.
